Efraim Weiss was born in Miami Beach, Florida, where his grandfather, Ben Pearlson, ran a hotel business with the help of Efraim’s mother and aunts, Pearl and Devorah, along with their other five siblings.  Efraim’s father, Heshy Weiss, ran a small bakery business with his brother until the family made aliyah in 1977 when Efraim was 7 years old.  They spent three months in an absorption center in Kfar Chabad before they moved to the religious moshav Ramat Magshimim where Heshy worked in the famous vineyards of Ramat HaGolan while Efraim’s mother works as a nurse in the labor room of Poriya Hospital. 

Efraim studied at the Bnei Akiva yeshiva in Ra’anana where he developed his love for studying Talmud.  Upon completion of his studies, Efraim was drafted into the Special Forces of the Israeli army.  After his release from the army he earned degrees in both Industrial and Business Management and began a globe-hopping career in international business until February of 2003 when he decided to quit traveling in order to gain more time at home with his wife, Racheli, and joined his aunt Pearl’s real estate business as an agent and office manager.  Efraim is now based out of his home in Modiin, as Pearl Skolnik Realty has branched into that area.  He also works as a business broker.  In whatever spare time he can find, Efraim also enjoys riding motorcycles, scuba diving and playing chess.
